Tonight I met

Two days ago a crew member joined the ship who is a writer.  We met over dinner and she mentioned they needed another player on their team for trivia night (held in the café this month on Wednesdays - highlight - I knew Facebook had 800 million users :) .  While round scores were being tallied we got to talking about the different parts of our lives, the usual: where we're from, what we do back home (and that I'm not a real PE teacher  :)  It turns out she was awarded a grant to write a fiction novel!  I was super fascinated by this as I attempted the start of a fiction novel earlier this year.  I talked a bit about the idea of my novel and my process. And she gave me some good tips.  She might even start a writer's group, which would be really cool :)  I'm a bit inspired to pick up my book-writing idea again...
