To show great love for God and our neighbors we need not do great things. It is how much love we put into the doing that makes our offering something beautiful for God. -Mother Teresa

A Day of Grand Blessings (mostly)

I've told you a little of the greatest roommate ever - Lisa! Her coolness and lovliness and greatness factor rose about 800% today as she did one of the kindest things for me. In Germany we load a lot of cargo onto the ship and my bedding, which i think i'd mentioned before, was waiting to be loaded in a warehouse AND GRAND LISA found it ahead of time and brought it to our cabin. This was purely out of the kindness of her heart b/c she knew how much i yearned for it - my pillow, my comforter, my sheets, my towels, my winter coat, a huge bag of M&Ms, and some other essentials. If she hadn't gotten it early (she works in medical and they were loading their medical supplies) I would have had to wait a week or more - which wouldn't have been horrible, but it was the best thing ever for her to bring it. and it wasn't easy - the thing weighs over 60 pounds, our friend Ed helped her - his greatness factor also increased today. so that was really really happy. probably the happiest thing.

another happy thing - mail came today, and many of you wrote me letters :-) and sent packages - i love you! thank you!

the (mostly) added to the title is b/c my grand roomie, Lisa, told me today, she's moving out into a two-man cabin. (tear) We are very compatible roommates and she's super fun, so i'm sad to see her go, but do think it's a good idea for her. The room she's moving into will be more quiet, only two people - nice, the girl who asked her really wants her to live there, and some other pros that she told me, but i forgot the rest. so it's a good thing, but it kinda put a small damper on my most fabulous day. oh well. now melissa and i have the opportunity to ask someone else into our cabin, so we'll have to ponder and make a wise choice or leave it up to chance with HR . . . ship life is so unique. emily:-)
