To South Africa!

Hello Friends! Well we are on our way - Praise the Lord. After sitting still for about fifteen hours in the ocean yesterday - we've managed to successfully acquire the extra fuel and oil needed to make it all the way to East London, South Africa. Yay! Sailing is amazing. The ocean is incredibly blue, the waters have been relatively calm thus far, and it's just brilliant! (for Rosie :-) The pains of people gone are still in effect, but I'm making some new short-term friends, which is good and even refreshing. The Anastasis is still in need of many technical crew for our shipyard coming up soon. So below, is some info. coming straight out of a letter from the Captain - which I'd ask, if you know someone who might be interested, to please pass it along. Volunteers can serve from 2 to 8 weeks during shipyard - July 4 through Sept. 2 Needed: Welders, Pipe Fitters, Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Mechanics What is Required: Volunteers must pay for their airfare, but food and lodging are covered. If Interested: Contact Karen Childs at the Mercy Ships international Office. Her email is karen.childs@mercyships.org or call 903-939-7000. Hope you're all doing well. emily:-)
