Hello Friends, Family! It's been awhile since I've written an actual entry - I hope you've enjoyed the pictures :-) Since you last heard from me, I visited Paris and Nepal each for the first time, arrived safely back to the Anastasis after Nepal had a royal coup, and have enjoyed coming back to the ship refreshed. The Anastasis is struggling a bit, however. And i wanted to ask you to pray. For about a month now - the generators have been broken - this is bad for two reasons. 1. the air conditioning can run well only with three generators. currently, only two of the four are running at some capacity, so the AC is at about 10%. This makes for a very hot ship - the port holes can't be opened b/c the little AC that does enter the ship needs to stay on the ship . . . 2. this also means we cannot sail to Ghana - the destination for our mid-outreach break - and it could possibly also mean that we will be late in getting to Liberia. Please pray for us! 1.that the crew would be able to bare the hotness, sweatiness, ickiness - that we would not grumble and complain, but would persevere in attitude and kindness to each other. 2. that the parts would arrive so that the generators could be fixed - that the engineers would have wisdom and skill to fix them 3. for the management - wise decisions would be made - scheduling, for the ghanaians who still want to see home, at least fora little while, for people who were planning to come on board and leave during ghana, etc. 3. personally - i miss home. pray that i would be 100% here, and soak it all in, focus on the Lord, and serve with a grateful heart. Thank you all. emily:-)
